today you were super maya " to the wescue!!! coming a save a day! bum bum BUMMM!" im smitten with this fierce new girl i see, yet so sweet and loving, who loves trucks and space ships and rocket ships and princess sophia. This girl who loves all things boy and all things girl. who plays and learns and is excted to be awake every morning.  love you SO much and I am so excited for more and more adventures as your mama. 

:) and this new spike in vocabulary is helping you express yourself! 

You can count to 39 now which is super cool and Im just floored by your amazing gifts. thank youf or picking us. this is going to be so amazing :)

Just gave you my nightly kisses and wanted to write down for ask of the internets to know but more importantly for you, any time you need, that you are my Sun and my Moon. You are the beauty and the goodness. I'm so in love with you. So so in love.

Two years

Oh baby girl. You're two.
You ate filled with wonder "what will happen if I put salt in the dogs food bowl or the dogs food on the ground or my peas or soggy cereal on the table? Does my sandwich taste better deconstructed?" You want to get into everything...especially the toilet and outside. You've locked yourself in my room, gotten into drawers to retrieve sharp objects, you run from me every chance you get and you have to get out of the car by yourself.
You are so determined and feisty and independent.
You know your ABCs, but refuse to sing them. You CAN count to about fifteen, instead you always say 1,2,3,10. You have an agenda all your own.
You love cars and trucks and tractors and lawnmowers and purses and sunglasses and Pretty dresses and special hair things. You love back rubs and snuggles on the couch "tuggle couch" anytime it is time for bed. You still want to drink as gallon of milk a day but we'll eat darn near anything healthy I put in front of you. You're a peach of a girl and I love learning you.

today we got your lip tie released. hard day, hard procedure but the best for you overall. 

this did nothing to these tough two year old times but amplify them. but mommy has a motto for the hard times "they arent GIVING you a hard time, they are HAVING a hard time." 

so while you have been begging for couch snuggles at bedtime and screaming for me to hold you, i take this with eagerness. I cant let you stay up but I want you to know your calls do not go unanswered. 

so I laid right next to your crib, and you fell right to sleep. 

and this, this is how i know it was the right thing. 

if my presence comforts you...baby, you get it. 

i love you. and nothing ever will change about that. other than how long youve been the holder of my heart.
